I am using a Windows XP. Naturally my pc is an assembled one and the software too downloaded by the assembling guy. Once I started using the net I started getting unwanted updates and all that stuff. Then suddenly when i open the system I get to see a caution warning from the microsoft that the software is not genuine and that I am no longer eligible for the updates and all. To hell with the updates and stuff. Tell me what to do to avoid this irritating warnings and cautions and reminders. I dont want them. They are all over the place. They come on opening and while working. Tell me how to get rid of them.

OK, what happened is, the guy who installed your windows stiffed you. He installed an illegal copy of windows (and if he charged you for it...) and now you got the problems.

Find him, threathen him, and get him to refund the costs of your windows installation. Use that money to buy a genuine windows disks. Use the license code you get with that to validate, and your problem will be solved.

go to the update site and go through the windows genuine advantage tool, once you verify your copy the messages will stop, if its not a legit copy you'll need to get validated. You can turn off the baloon pop-ups but the WGA is going to keep popping up until you validate....go to

Re-install windowsXP and don't allow WGA notification tool to get downloaded to ur computer.This tool comes through windows update & is responsible for all the nagging warnings.

Turn off automatic updates, right click my computer > properties > automatic updates tab, turn off..
