Try starting off with a small heel, for a couple of hours a day, even just around the house. Gradually build this time up as you get used to the shoes. After you feel comfortable wearing these shoes, try ones with a slightly bigger heel, then slightly higher after that, until you reach the size you want. Don't be tempted to jump in at the deep end as it'll just hurt your feet more, and only wear them for as long as they are comfortable. Try gel pads, which are good for the balls of your feet.
Also, if you get a shoe which has some kind of support for your heel/ankle, I've found that this helps as you don't have to worry so much about balancing or falling out of your shoes, and you can forget about your feet! I have really high arches in my feet which makes it hard to wear heels, but after about 7 months of this (yes, I know it's a long time!) I can wear any shoes I want. Good Luck!

Check here a very effective sciatica natural treatment http://cure-sciatica.info
Normally, I would not answer a question like this as my expertise is generally in medication but I had severe sciatica while I was pregnant with my 3rd child (after having had twins) and I had sciatica so bad that I was finding it difficult to walk. I tried massage therapy and physical therapy and could not take medication
I went to the chiropractor and the pain was instantly relieved. My hips and lower back were out of alignment because I had carried twins the year before. On occasion a Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) can also work but they usually only work on one joint at a time - the chiropractor will do your whole back which works faster. Anyone who does not believe in chiropractors will tell you they are quacks - don't listen.
I don't necessarily believe that chiropractors can cure things like diabetes but they can definitely relieve some types of back pain especially if a pinched nerve is involved which is usually the cause of sciatica.

I saw on Good Morning America the other morning a story on a new Nike line of high heels that incorporate sneaker technology. There supposed to feel like walking in sneakers and judging from the reactions of the shows female hosts it true. they also make men's shoes with the same tech so your guy can be comfortable and stylish like you. Otherwise just by a heels with a bit of a small platform because most heels like that have more padding.

Dr. Scholl's padded inserts will help, but you must change often. Now they have a new gel insole, you may want to try that one. And work your way up, don't jump into stilettos the first time out.
Good Luck
I love heels but please know wearing them can cause back problems later in life and has been known to tip your uterus, making becoming pregnant a little harder as well as full term pregnancy, and delivery can be harder. I've been wearing heels since I was 13, I have arthritis in my lower back (pain so bad ) some days it hurts to walk. I also HAVE a tipped uterus from heels, (so my Dr. told me.) Just try to sit in heels more then walk if possible. Always take along a comfy pair to change into if your out just in case. :)

your feet will get used to it to a degree, but its best starting off with a lower heel to start with and making sure there is enough room for your toes (minimise the pain)
gel inserts that squish under the ball of your foot are fabulous if you have to stand or walk a lot and the latest versions dont move around so much.

heels are sexy, there is no denying it, they make us stand taller, walk better, give us great calves and tip our hips and clench a little which makes are bottoms look smaller and perter, but even with all the lotions and potions and gadgets in the world if you spend all day standing on tip toes they are going to make your fee hurt.

'if you cant walk in heels, get taxis'

Don't wear heels that are too high for you. If you like heels, start out with maybe an inch or so, then once you're used to that, work your way up. If you have high arches, find a pair that have an arch support or add that yourself (you can find them at any pharmacy.)

Try lower heeled shoes, or if you really like your shoes and want to carry on wearing them, there are gel pads which you can insert into your shoes to ease the pain.
