Stay in your hotel when the night creeps in because I was once in Jalan Bukit Bintang in Kuala Lumpur in late 90s, their commercial center. I was robbed at knife point and the bastards took away my passport. The local police didn't bother to help me at all. It was all a disaster because I have to secure another passport plus I have to spend a couple of days with just $50 in my hands.

Just check www.virtualtourist.com and you will find all the places worth visiting and the hotels and all other stuff.
Also Dave it would be really good if you stop writing about your experience, get over it and donot discourage people from visiting such a good place if you cannot give people the correct advice.
Tired of reading you r stupid answer to all questions.
Enjoy your trip.
