most of the time disconecting the battery doesnt work and if you have a antitheft radio it will mess it up you have 2 good choices buy a cheep scan tool around $59 and reset it also your car may still be under warranty and the dealer may do the repaires free you never said what turned it on did you get it fixed ?? if not it will just come back on

Disconnect and reconnect a battery cable if you don't have a scanner that is normally used to reset it.

it's pretty simple:

pop the hood

disconnect the ground (black) wire from the battery

leave it disconnected to 30 mins

come back and reconnect

you done!
