If Father Christmas had kids, he'd have to spend Christmas Eve assembling toys and looking for batteries rather than delivering presents to the rest of the world.

Two possibilities: He has seen all the bad kids in the world and didn't want to take a chance. Or, he considers all the good kids in the world his kids so he and Mrs. Claus decided not to have any.
