In order for life (at least as we know it) to survive it requires an aqueous environment inside the cell. If membranes were made of water soluble materials (salts and sugars) then they would dissolve and the cell's contents would leak out. In fact there are water-insoluble sugars and salts, but lipids have the added advantage of being able to remain liquid and still form a flexible, semi-permeable membrane.

I think all living things in this planet will die. This is because the membrane is made of lipid and protein so that it is flexible. If it is made of sugar and salt, then i will become fragile, so just even a touch can cause alot of damage.

Salts and sugars are water soluble and therefore would dissolve and not hold together to maintaine a membrane.

For starters we would be living on another planet. We just wouldn't be viable at all in the current environment.
