Remove what you can with a plastic scrapper. Plastic so it doesn't damage it. Then use any proprietory oil based cleaner it should come off easily.

Boiling water will turn the wax into liquid which can
be soaked up with a dry cloth. Repeat the procedure
until the stone is clear of the wax.

Harden the wax with ice. Chip/scrape off excess. Then, use a hair dryer to soften the remaining wax. Blot with paper towels, then use a soft cloth to finish up.

There is a product called "Goo Gone". It is citrus based, so it shouldn't hurt it.
