Lakers or Phoenix. As you have clearly seen the lakers without odom is a great team. But when Odom comes back, the lakers will almost be in complete force. Right now, they have beaten teams, strong teams without odom. In conclussion, theres a high possibility that they can reach the finals. While Phoenix can be one team that can beat the Lakers if the Lakers cant find a solution to them. Phoenix have a better chance since they have an all around. They have a scoring and passing point guard. Nash and barbosa. they have an average sg and a good sf. In PF, Amare is very dominant while Center is also average.
Detroit or Washington. Detorit no matter what is a strong team. While Washington too by now. The Washington wizards have a chance but Cleveland or other teams can beat them. What do you think:?

Yeah, the Lakers are good...But, not good enough. Look at the Mavericks and the Suns. BOTH teams are playing outstanding basketball right now. The Lakers will win their first game but will fall in the second round. The Mavs and the Suns will meet in the Western Conf. Finals. The Suns will win a CLOSE Game 7 to move onto their first ever Western Conf. title with Steve Nash and Amare Stoudemire.
In the East, it will be the Pistons and the Bulls. I still stick by what I said with the Bulls, yes, the Bulls making it to the Eastern Conf. title. I thought the Bulls would be better, but they're not. So I am going to say that the Pistons will win in 5 games. The defending champs (Miami Heat) will enter the playoffs as the 8th seed, but will fall to the Pistons. They're aren't strong enough to go deep into the playoffs like last year, as much as I hate to admit that.
In the NBA Finals, the Phoenix Suns will win the the NBA Championship, shutting down the Detroit Pistons and showing why they were picked at the beginning of the season to go all the way. Steve Nash, the defending MVP will win the FInals MVP honors. He will not win MVP of the league like he did the last 2 years. That will go to Gilbert Arenas. Steve Nash will come to play along with his teammates in the Finals. Nash will show why he deserved to be a 3 time defending MVP.

Nah. Phoenix doesn't play defense and that is going to stop them from going into the finals. They may be good in the regular season, but remember, the playoffs are different, the other team has time to especially prepare for that one opponent. As it always has been, the playoffs will always come down to defense and half court sets, not Phoenix's strengths. The Lakers, as good as they are, still will not be able to get past tough proven teams like Dallas and San Antonio in a seven game series. I think Dallas will make another appearance in the finals. They are still essentially the same team but even better and should be able to win now if they can grind past San Antonio.
In the East I think Detroit will be the one. They are the most experienced and consistent team in the East and havbe the best chance. The Wizards sadly are not there yet. They may have some talent but unless you play defense you won't get anywhere. And they don't have a deep enough roster to get through some of the better teams. Besides their big three who else is there?
Cleveland won't make it either. LeBron is amazing but he can't do it all by himself.

It's way too early to tell! It's not even half way through the season yet, so anything can happen. But as of right now, this is what it looks like. From the West, it could be either the Mavs, Suns, or Jazz. From the East, it would be either the Bulls, Pistons, or Wizards. Watch out for Gilbert Arenas and the Wizards. They are definitely going places. Gilbert should be MVP!!!!

Are you serious, the Lakers? They are a one person team.
Look at the Mavericks. They really are the best in the NBA right now. The Spurs Coach even said so. Washington SUcks!

Cleveland and San Antonio. The Cavs are the best in the East, and if they trade for a PG they will be loaded. The spurs are still the best in the west. And they are deep enough, and play great enough defense to make a title run.
