How can I get the collar on my button-up shirts to stop curling after I wash them?

I have some really nice button-up dress shirts that I bought from Express and I've noticed that after I wash them, the tips of the collars always seem to curl downwards. I try and iron them back to shape, but that doesn't seem to fix them back to the shape they were. I dry them in the dryer for about 2 minutes to get the bulk of the water out of them, and then hang them to dry.

Any suggestions? Also, my darker colored shirts seem to always fade out, even when I let them air dry. Any suggestions on how to keep them darker and looking new?

When you iron them, try a spray starch. Not too much though. I find that steam helps get things like that straight too, so make sure your steam is on the iron if you don't use starch.

Use a vapourizer with water when ironing them and then (the magic bit) curl them slightly outward when you put on the shirt. Usually works for me.

I have a pink oxford blouse (one of my favorites) that did the same thing. I stiched a pink thread through the collar ends. Another blouse that did the same thing, I used a pearl colored post earing!
