my little girl has been sitting by her self since she was 5 months, and could get herself into the sitting position by herself around 6 months. now at 7 months she can stand by herself. she cant yet actually say anything, but she is learning the letters, so she does go around saying things like lalamamamamalalalagadadadga. she doesnt associate what she is saying with any person or object yet.

My daughter sat independently at 6 months and started saying mama at 7 months. Usually children pick one or the other to master first. Some kids get the physical stuff first, others get the verbal.

He Sat up alone at 6 months and at 10 months he says dada, but Im not 100% he means daddy rather than he has discovered a noise!
He does say 'Anggad' when he see's my dad and we think this maybe 'Grandad'.

My baby started sitting by herself when she was 6 months old. But babies' physical growth differs. If you often carry your baby and not giving him/her the chance to stretch his limbs then he/she is most likely to start sitting by himself late. It is not advisable to keep carrying the baby. And as with the dada thing, my baby started uttering these words when she was 9 months old. This was so because we did not baby-talk her. Talking to your baby a lot also helps but avoid baby-talking him/her.
