how can it be a poor country with rich people wouldnt it then be a rich country?
it is correct to say that india is a fairly rich country with poor infrastructure caused by the actions of corrupted politicians and people
by the way india ranks among the top 20 rich economies in the world and the 4th biggest economy in terms of PPP

India is not a poor country, it has fairly good resources; not only minerals, fertile land and good rainfall, even reasonably good human resources. Yet India has never been a top ranking country in the world history. India was always over powered by foreign invaders. Presently because of the quality of its leaders, the people are suffering on counts of per capita income, good health and living conditions or educational standards. However things may soon change for better, if younger generation starts questioning the present leadership about their capability and performance. Corruption (i.e. dishonesty)among its leaders in every field (political, executive, judiciary, scientific or trade and industry) is certainly one of the main reasons for the present poor state of affairs.

Every country has the verity of people. India is no different .
But the main thing is how it is being governed. As it is democratic country and every body feels free to do any thing.
Only administratively it is to be dealt with tough hands.The way Supreme court is doing these days. If every politician of this country work for the betterment of this country without caring for his seat. It will be the great day for India.
