Here are some of my examples as a Filipino.
1 - Strong family ties.
2 - Respect for elders. Today, they still kiss the hands of family elders in greeting.
3 - Chauvinism.
4 - Traditions they follow.
5 - Loyalty to the motherland.
Can I add that the true Filipinos will prefer to speak their native tongue as long as it can be understood by those they are speaking to (as opposed to those who will force their bent and inarticulate english on someone who prefers that they not).

1. because they live up to their ancestral legacy
2. because they still practice many of their cultures
3. where-ever they are in the world, many of them still project
good filipino values
4. because i like them even if they are petite and some speak
little english
5. because my first name is the same as theirs
