Some of this depends on your location. In a city, it would be more expensive than in a small rural town. I have lived in both and the rural location is less expensive. The going rate for in home , for an 8 hour work day is $20,00 a day and you would provide food , milk etc. A professional day care center can run as much as $100-$150 a week. My daughter is a nurse and works 3 twelve hour days a week, Fri Sat and Sun, she is paying $100.00 for those 3 days, plus snacks , a gallon of milk and a pack of drink boxes ( this is for a 4 year old.)

Depends on your area, how many other kids she is watching, if she is certified, is she watching the child in home or out of home. In my area, 90 for a baby up to a year and a half, 80 for a child over that until school age, 70 for school age. But that is for a homebased daycare with 5-10 kids.

Personally, I pay $50 for 10 hours a week. She is the only child in the house and gets constant attention. It is worth the money IMO.

We got a sitter when my child was 8 months. About 8 1/2 - 9 hrs. a day, 5 days a week. She accepted $20 a day - just a neighbor with her own kids - not certified daycare provider. I provided all food, diapers, etc.

A fair wage would be around 150.00 /week. 200 at the most and 100 at the least. Child care providers that are registered with the child care agency in my county make between those figures.
You can always encourage prospective child care providers to give you their salary requirements if you are worried about over paying.

It depends on if she is certified (as a actual child care business) or if she is just a friend helping out. It really varies depending on which part of the country you are from, how long she is taking care of the child, how often she provides care, what she is expected to do, etc. The best thing would be to call similar services in your town and find out what they charge.
Hope this helps!

It all depends...
Is it a private person coming to your home?
Full time or part time
