A simple search "life without electricity" gives already some (obvious) answers.
My personal favourite is the Electric Universe: The Shocking True Story of Electricity by David Bodanis, a kind of biography of electricity. Electricity is responsible for many things - both good and bad. For example, without electricity no rock & roll, hence no rock & roll movement, and probably less teenage emancipation.
Without electricity, some claim divorce rates would be lower. Electricity has made single life easier, while at the same time freeing up more time for arguing between spouses living together.
In 2004, BBC had a show 'If the lights go out' speculating on the impact of a 24 hour outage. There have also been some reality shows on a family living in Victorian conditions. A US TV channel made another reality show about life in Oregon without modern facilities.

No electricity? That would be very difficult to imagine.
First of all, without electricity to power up my PC, I wouldn't be able to answer this question in the first place.
Many other things need electricity. Electrical stoves, ovens, toasters, and the like use electricity to cook our food.
Without electricity, we'd be living in the dark. Really. You can just imagine how you complain during blackouts. What more if it happened 24/7? Yes, a world without electricity would seem uncondusive to inhabitance but our ancestors managed to survive.

When I was visiting my grandparents in Pakistan, the lights go out there from time to time (since some people are stealing electricity). Then there is no power, you have use hand fans and candles and such. I think more people would be reading if there were no electricity but then again making books would be much harder.
It would suck lol since we are used to electricity.

Everything in our life would be effected. We have become so dependant on electricity, that if we were with out it for any length of time it would cause utter caos. People would steal, cheat, and even murder for the simplest of things. My wife and I were without power for like 4 hours one time and we went for a ride in our car just so we could watch a dvd on the dvd player we have in the car. Lol...

I think America would shut down and we'd go back to the dark ages. Bank records lost, so no money, no communication, back to self powered or horse transportation, can't fix anything because it all needs electricity.
No electricity. No cell phone's,no television,no phones period,no movies,no laser surgery,no air travel, they'd have to go back to ocean travel using the star's to guide by.No dishwashers, clothes washers,no dryers, hair dryers,no nuclear weapons,no refridgeration,no exchange of idea's.I could go on and on and on. No mass production of anything. No car's because gas stations use electricity to get the gas into the pumps.Would we even be able to get crude oil out of the ground? I think it would be mayhem(sp?) for awhile, then people would adjust. I really like the "no nuclear weapons" part.No Space travel either!

The Amish live right along side us in the 21st century, still living as they did centuries ago.
They would be the ones to ask about this.

Extremely dull...I use my laptop almost everyday and I watch TV everyday. Plus having to write essays for college using a pen and paper (or even using a typewriter and tippex) would be my idea of HELL!!

I am sure that we would just have to cope in the same way our ancestors did. i think the world would be very different without it, you use electricty all the time without even thinking about it, (from straightening hair to surgery) its something that we find essential but we take forgranted!

It will make the world a better place to live healthier and innocent living. Our fore fathers were not privilege to have it and still had a great and active living.
