At this time more than likely he can serve if he passes the very minmal standards set for the military these days.

Felons won't make it in the military. The military has a better selection of recruits, mainly focused on those that are educated and without a police record. Your so called b/f can only straighten out his life and walk a straight and narrow line. After all now that he's bottomed out at such and early age the only way for him now is up. Good Luck.
BTW if you were my daughter I'd be running his sorry butt off to canada.

No he can't. The military are very leery about people who have problems abiding by civilian laws because military laws are even stricter. The military are against re-instituting the military draft for this very reason. The drill sergeants are there to train these men and women for war and that's a 24 hour job already. They do not have time to "baby sit" juvenile delinquents

He will need a high school diploma. He must score Well on the ASVAB. After that, he will need to get a waive for each offense. Plus a letter or possibly letters of recommendation from several outstanding members of the community. It will be a tough task, but it can be done.

Sadly, no. I was dating a guy who went to prison as a juvenile and even six years later, he couldn't join any kind of government military service. He also can't have credit cards, checking accounts, etc. and it was very hard for him to find a job. Good luck.

No he can't. And the US armed services will probably not take him at any time. In the "olden days" the Army or Marines took the "problem" kids and straightened them out. Today, they're not interested in them.

He must have his high school diploma or GED. His record makes me wonder if he could survive the training. He does not seem to have much self control.
