It's clear that the Nets are going nowhere, so what should they do?

My opinion is that they should trade VC because he doesn't help them at all with his terrible shot selection and lack of clutch. Sure he's their leading scorer but Richard Jefferson can without a doubt can be their main scorerr if given the opportunity. Then they should just sit back and hope to make the lottery because this next draft could get them that final missing piece.

It wouldn't be a terrible idea to trade VC, but I don't know that they can contend with Jefferson as their go-to-guy. He would be the #2 option on a very good team and the #1 option on a very mediocre team. They should see if they can ship VC somewhere for a first rounder and another decent scorer. This team is really going to need to reload soon, given Kidd's age, Jefferson's (and now Krstic's) injury issues and their general lack of depth. Getting a couple first rounders and a second rounder this season could do them a lot of good. (Say, Daequan Cook, Tiago Splitter and Jared Dudley)
