Yes. It happens when you are going thru a crisis in your life, something like a serious health problem of yourself or someone close to you, or a difficult financial situation, or merely stress related to your work or studies. These are some of the occasions where your friends can only sympathise with you, if at all, but cant help you in any other way. In such situations, you do feel lonely despite having a large friends circle.

I often feel that way, and i am constantly surrounded by friends. It usually happens if the majority of them are talking about something that i do not want to or can talk about, or if they are going to go hang out somewhere and they dont invite me. Its strange because the more friends im around the more i feel excluded, and if im not talked to for more than 5 minutes while im by my friends il feel really, really lonely.

Hello there, I haven't got many friends. Even if i feels lonely, I tried doing something constructive, like doing a little garden, chatting on the computer, etc.

When you have just had a break up with your girlfriend or boy friend or hubby or whatever...your good friends would try to take you out to cheer you up.
Try hard as they may they may not be able to stop your mind from drifting to memories of your previous relationship. You do feel very very lonely then. You would trade everything in your possession to have him or her back for that one hug.

yes.. this happens with all.. n this is mostly coz..u r not contended.
No satisfaction in life..nythin n evth can make u unhappy if u dont have a peacful mind set.. evth is in ur hand..if u think u feel lonely..u wil b lonely.. n if not thn life wil show u a diffrnt world .. so njoy!!!!

yes,,,,,,,,,,,and I feel invisible, and that maybe they don't really want me to be there, and they don't understand me, and don't love me, even though i love them so much. I feel like they are taking me for granted. If hurts soooooo bad, I will leave sometimes early and cry for hours. If I were to tell them that I feel invisible they would either ignore me, and pretend I didn't say anything, or they would get mad at me, and call me a whiner. I know how you feel, and it stinks
