Instead of withdrawing Nintendo's defective Weii controller, they have decided to add 20,000 more immediately. "It's war...", a spokesman for Nintendo said.

The controller isn't defective - only the strap which is a small easily-replacable part of the controller.

How do you suggest that it makes more sense to replace the entire controller hardware instead of just a small part? Do you throw the baby out with the bath water, too?

Now, the defective AC adapters, that's a more serious problem. They are replacing them wholesale, if a defective piece is found by the consumer.

IMO, Nintendo's making the logical choice with the defective components.

This is another reason why you should not buy a nintendo. Stop wasting your time paying for cheap things like a nintendo wii that wont have any quality. Nintendo Sucks making consoles, almost all of their products have something defective. Buy a ps3, you'll definately get more quality if you buy something that's from sony.
