The sites I've found are not very specific, saying Guatemala, Mexico, etc. but I just want to know their range while their tribe was alive.

more specifically, can anyone tell me what Central American countries today were the range for their tribe? like from the Southernmost country of ___ to the Northernmost country of ___ to give a pretty accurate range? and I know the people are still alive today (duh!) I just need to know when there was an actual Mayan civilization from before Christ until after Christ. thanks!

The Maya people still exist. The Mayan culture of 600 years ago does not except vestigially. I have met and talked with Mayas'. Most are now catholic so they only worship one grotesque human sacrifice.

their primary home was in the yucatan and chiapas regions of mexico. they also extended into guatemala and honduras with sites like tikal and copan and they also held territory in most of central america in nicarugua and el salvador. the languages in all of these regions today are of the mayan stock.

the mayas are extinguished. But there are a lot of tribes that allegally descent from the mayas that live in Guatemala. Especially in the northern part: Quiché, Alta Verapaz, Baja Verapaz y Sololá. they are not exactly mayas, they are quiches, cakchiqueles, zutuhiles, but it seems like they descent somehow from the mayan culture.
