I find an electric clipper has added benefits, as most girls would agree. Toothpaste though does have a nice tingly effect.
Or where you really referring to keeping your gob clean here?

Manual hand held, not very good with the battery operated ones.

Both, but I don't use the battery powered one these days.
I use an alternative mouth wash too...
