My friends and I refer to guys we have never seen before in our local hostelry as 'randoms' - that's what I think of!

We might see a guy we know and go, 'hey there's Steve. Who are those fit randoms he's with?' or 'Good grief, it's packed with randoms in here tonight'.

A word that has really become popular lately, and I don't understand why! Have you noticed that more and more people are using it? I've got friends who use it all the time and it's catching.
