Some on this blog want to see McCain as the next President, knowing he will continue the expense to support this war in Iraq, while our nation is struggling to survive. I wonder among all these McCain supporters, how man have the survival skills for another depression that will surely come. How many will be willing to go fight when McCain brings back the draft or will they leave America to avoid that draft? Our nation is now $9 Trillion in debt a continued war will increase that amount. Corp. America get's tax deductions and some registered in those tax haven islands (Cayman & Bahamas ) pay no tax to help reduce this deficit. How many jobs will yet be outsourced? Do you McCain supporters feel confident you will never loose your jobs? Do you support McCain because you are closeted racist?

The Iraq war is a waste of money. bush is insane and should have a sanity test. He is sending out sons and daughters overseas to basically be slaughtered needlessly. There is no point in fighting in either Iraq nor Afghanistan. The real enemy is Iran. WE ARE ACTUALLY DOING IRAN'S WORK FOR THEM! It is like a dream come true for that madman in Iran have a world super power invade Iraq take over the country and murder Saddam Hussein. If anyone would take out a history book We were allies with Iraq until Bush Sr duped Iraq into invading Kuwait in 1990 and Collin Powell and the people of Kuwait with a PR group turned the whole world against Iraq.

In monetary terms, not surprising given inflation and the higher cost of hi-tech weapons. However loss of U.S. servicemen and women topped 50,000 in Vietnam. Thankfully we still have far to go in the category of most importance.

Are you comparing them both in terms of today's dollars?

What dollar amount are you placing on a human life? Our casualties in Iraq are nothing compared to Vietnam.
