Some people might consider that bright red-pink with turquoise and white would be nice. Or instead of turquoise it might look better to use grey.Or that it would be nice to use warm/smokey grey and transluscent effect. Or you could even use burgendy and violet, pink-brown and pale blue or a number of modern colour schemes that if people saw them might find them less boring then white.

E=mC2, I dont personally think that someone needs to go too bright if you dont choose white. Myself i think that there are a lot of colour schemes that can be considered modern that people might just like more.

It isn't very complicated at all aviator147, but it might be nice sometimes to see that other people have tried to use thier imagination.

No imagination. People follow the latest trends because they do a room to please someone else...and their homes all look like "the office." I have one room with white walls...the rest are colored, panelled or bricked. I like variety and the eclectic look. My home has the feeling of warmth, coziness and comfort and we like it this way.

Not all people (me for one) choose boring white or off white for home interior. I had a house with a burgundy living room, a grey bathroom, one violet bedroom, one medium blue bedroom, and a dark blue kitchen, for starters. I LOVE color. But most people choose neutral colors for walls because it will go with any decor they choose.

Buy a house and paint your rooms any color you want.

How complicated it that?
