From the November/December issue of Foreign Policy magazine,
"Operation Comeback": A memo to Fellow Neocons
By Joshua Muravchik , (excerpt)
Prepare to Bomb Iran. Make no mistake, President Bush will need to bomb Iran’s nuclear facilities before leaving office. It is all but inconceivable that Iran will accept any peaceful inducements to abandon its drive for the bomb. Its rulers are religio-ideological fanatics who will not trade what they believe is their birthright to great power status for a mess of pottage. Even if things in Iraq get better, a nuclear-armed Iran will negate any progress there. Nothing will embolden terrorists and jihadists more than a nuclear-armed Iran.
The global thunder against Bush when he pulls the trigger will be deafening, and it will have many echoes at home. It will be an injection of steroids for organizations such as MoveOn.org. We need to pave the way intellectually now and be prepared to defend the action when it comes. In particular, we need to help people envision what the world would look like with a nuclear-armed Iran. Apart from the dangers of a direct attack on Israel or a suitcase bomb in Washington, it would mean the end of the global nonproliferation regime and the beginning of Iranian dominance in the Middle East.
This defense should be global in scope. There is a crying need in today’s ideological wars for something akin to the Congress for Cultural Freedom of the Cold War, a global circle of intellectuals and public figures who share a devotion to democracy. The leaders of this movement might include Tony Blair, Vaclav Havel, and Anwar Ibrahim.
There may be a determination that this is necessary...

No and this heavily isn't the 1st time in the event that they do. Israel attacked and destroyed Iran's nuclear features over 2 an prolonged time in the past. i do no longer think of its a question if Israel will attack Iran, quite while is going to take place via fact it is going to. there is not any doubt approximately it. history constantly tell the fact.

Well, just my own personal thoughts and speaking for myself alone folks....as long as "Dubya" is running our country I see the US engaing in more battles and sending more troops to lose their lives. Please understand that I agree that nuke weapons have to be eradicated from our world and we must do whatever it takes to acheive that goal. But what we don't need is more of our sons, daughters,Moms and Dads losing loved ones because they have been placed into a war that was started based on lies, and those lies were nothing more than a cover up for our prez. A cover up and a lie so huge and so now based on that huge lie we have lost so many men, women, Moms and Dads. Sorry for wandering off of the trail with answering your question. Didn't mean to...:)~ About attacking Iran....I feel justified in attacking anyone who has aspirations and intentions to create nukes. They serve NO other purpose except to wipe thousands off of the map.! Thanks.

coming to real question...yes Iran is next on the list mainly becos it is a muslim nation and not becos of its nuclear program....good luck wid future...

I think it's highly likely that Israel will attack Iran. I doubt that the U.S. would attack, even if it could, but I do think that Israel will pull the U.S. into war with Iran, and I also believe that there are those so-called elected officials who would support this, because their support for Israel supersedes their support for America.

That'd be really smart, wouldn't it? As much as we are mired down in Bush's war in Iraq I would wonder how much more precarious our situation would become.

The American people wouldn't allow it. We've already been tricked into war once.
Like Bush says:
Fooled me once, shame on me; fool me twice...I won't get fooled again.
