Yes. You will not see or appreciate the goodness of life or of the things sround you if you have not experienced some loss or something melancholy. How poetic!

Personally i felt and experienced that when I lost mt mother. She passed away almost three years now.

The Gift of Nature has abundance of answers to our most of Philosophical questions.

When can you actually see a rainbow only after there is a rain , just translate into your maxim , do you get the answer for this saying ?
yes we do only after tears ie after pain there is pleasure and the soul will also bear the full fruit of the pleasure and also there is definitely a great sense of satisfacation when pleasure is derived the hard way.

There is no pride with pleasure, without hardship and pains.

The rainbow is a sign in the sky, that represents the symbol of a promise. Not just an empty promise, with no follow up, but a genuine one. Tears are merely an excretion of emotion, and I fail to see a connection to multi-colored rainbow. Maybe you have a Mira Angelo moment? No one could uderstand her either, even if she claimed to be a poet!

The only difference between robots (the very best possible ones... with highest intelligence levels) and humans is the ability of intuition, self-awareness, and the ability to manifest intuition, through emotions.
If a person does not evolve to the fullest capability of emotions, intuitions, etc, he misses the rainbow.

True. Light of self when passes through impure mind there is a rainbow of world and there r tears and joy. When mind is purified light of self is seen as pure brilliant light. At that moment only bubbling joy is there.

beautiful one... I think "tears" here not only represents sadness but also happiness. If in life we live through pain sorrow and happiness then thats we feel that we really alive. You begin to know yourself and find your right way to live.
And not only me, I think everyone does experienced this, whether they realize or not.
If you success along the road you can not feel the beautfifulnes of life. The struggle is the rainbow...

Soul is part of the almighty, soul which has departed from god for so many years and always tries to go back and meet its origin the GOD,due to the restlessness of our soul we are always unhappy,i.e. nothing in this world can make us (or our soul) happy forever.the restlessness is accelerated by our mind too which leads us the worldy things(the sins).
the ultimate happiness for us or our soul is to meet its origin.
for this to happen we have to meditate and burn our sins of this birth and previous births.and to repent for our sins.
Then only soul would have the rainbow, it will be able to meet its origin and rest in peace.

Its a pretty saying - isn't it?.....I have loved it for a while. THe great thing about it, is that it doesn't seem to get lost in translation as I shared it with my grandmother (different nationality) and she understood it too =)

Anyway...my answer is YES! Pain and pleasure are a beautiful marriage. One teaches the other of its existence...in soul language.
