no idea, dude, but maybe start by taking off that "Man with the Yellow Hat" hat. What is this, Curious George??

Bring up a command prompt and type fsutil dirty query c

This queries the drive and should tell you if chkdsk is programmed to run each time. Next, type chkntfs /x c Then manually reboot and hopefully you will load Windows without doing a chkdsk. Once Windows has loaded, bring up a cmd prompt and manually do a chkdsk by typing Chkdsk /f /r c

This should take you through the 5 stages of the scan and unset the instruction to run each time. Then type fsutil dirty query c and Windows should confirm that it is not set on that drive

Start - Run - CMD - chkdsk /f and it will say it will be checked on next reboot as the volume cannot be un-mounted.

Reboot the computer and see how you go as it will run the scan before windows boots up :) see how you go
