The answer to you question is YES you can wear the stud your mom likes. There is no rule of fashion that a young lady cannot or should not wear something their parent wishes. The only question that you need to ask is if you want to.
I would suggest that you try it on for a few days, who knows might be you would start a new fashion trend. Also its possible that in a few days your mom may not be very adamant that you continue to wear it.
So try it and well see how it makes you feel !!

At age 25 it's now your choice. I'm sure your mom means well. I believe the simpler the better. I'm surprised your mom doesn't want you to take it out completely. Now let me ask you a question. Does it matter which side of your nose you put the nose ring? I have heard it said that if a man wears an earring, one side means he is gay and the other side not gay. Does the same apply to a nose ring?

youre a 25 yr old WOMAN, not a Girl, therefore modest is probably better for everyday wear.
stick with the simple stud.

I wouldn't, I like what you already have. I'm all for listening to our parents but can't you say what you want to wear? Put up a fuss and stay with what you have.

she s simply gr8 she knows hw 2 keep her daugt a beaut,
n modish n chic n hip n stylish,
a nose adornment luks simply catchy,
the flowers will bloom more whn the terrain is flat,
n no flowers more bright than diamonds
giv her a big hug, she will giv more diamonds
with ur due permission may i call her my mom in law
at least on net , coz i cant call her mom
and deprive u of a gr8 person if yes,
Give her a big her frm me also,
