Oh no,no!
Zahi Hawass would kill you and Mark Lehner chase you round the Sphinx!
it hasn't been allowed since the sixties and then you had to get an escort/guide.
The last movie that had shots taken from up on the pyramids was Murder on the Orient Express.
Mia Farrow and another actor(can't recall who) climb up to see the view.
In the thirties especially,it was THE thing to do, for tourists and expats, they would have a picnic at the base to watch the sunset sipping their chilled champagne!
To many fell and either killed themselves or got badly hurt. The pyramids suffered pretty badly too.
These days the only people who are allowed climb the pyramids, are those whose job it is to check for any sign of shift in the stones. Or change in condition etc.
Last thing needed is a piece of masonry to fall down on tourists.Never fear the latest hi tech registers are used to do the reports and they are done regularly.

Unfortunately it has become against the law. When my father was 20 he climbed to the top of the biggest of the three pyramids in Giza, but nowadays it is forbidden. It's dangerous! To lose a step means death.

They used to be allowed but now you can only get up close or go inside. It is a lot of fun around the pyramids! Ride a camel

I guess!!! why not ?
I am Egyptian but I am not from Cairo. We used to go there on trips when I was younger. I used to climb a few piles and no one said anything to me. I just couldn't do any better so as not to ruin my clothes" I mean cuz I am not fit enough but this is what I tell myself"
You and I can get togther some day and do it, and if anything happens , I mean if the police tries to stop us , u cover my back and die for me and I will go all the way to the top and put "our" flag and scream "long live the Egyptian American friendship, or the British Egyptian or the French Egyptian, whatever the hell you are from.

Hi there,
You can get very close! You can climb the first pile of stones, maybe the second as well, but THAT'S IT! If you climb any further it can be dangerous. Very dangerous in fact!! Climbing up is easy, climbing DOWN is a whole other issue!
Have a safe trip :)

Considering that some can't be entered (or even approached), then no, climbing is simply not an option.
