Why are you asking gore? last time I checked he didn't have a degree in Environmental sciences. In fact I thought he would be too busy inventing the Internet to be studying global weather phenomenon.
I mean he claims the US is the Biggest producer of green house gasses, when in truth it is the Earth that produces more than every country put together. Don't believe me? I will include a link. Wow, I guess Environmentalists got it wrong... The green house effect and global warming are NATURAL!!!!
Ohhh that FACT might get me a lot of thumbs down. Ahhh well I guess pointing out the flaws in libs and their rhetoric hurts.
Add on: Ohhh I knew that would tick off the greenies, actually providing a REAL site that has REAL proof about the nature of our planet and how it is involved in "global warming". Hey go watch "inconvenient truth" again it might make you feel safe again.

I think the theory of global warming is a work in process - as more data comes in, yes it will change. That is how science works boys and girls.
For those that seriously study the earth's climate, "global warming" is somewhat of a misnomer. In actuality it means the climate will change - many places will be warmer, some may be cooler. Some will be wetter, others will be drier.
Just because one episode of cooler weather in India & Pakistan happened, that doesn't even come close to disproving the overall warming trend. Worldwide glaciers disappearing & the arctic pack ice breaking up at a historic rate are much better indicators of what is happening.
Just because you keep planting your head underground & deny what is happening around you does NOT keep it from happening.
You should do some research about the government scientists who were either muzzled or lost their jobs because their data went against what the current administration wanted to say about "global warming".
capnemo - the chart you linked to is meaningless wihout knowing the methodology of the data collection. The data collected in the early years is highly suspect at best. Another concern is that this is one of the "cooked" reports that the Bush administration used bad data to disprove "global warming".
The other linked report is nearly 10 years old. Much has been learned since then. Yes volcanic activity does have a huge effect, we have no control over that. Our own emmissions we DO have control over.

Actually the average temperature of the earth has only increased 7/10 of 1 degree C since 1880. That is an increase of 1.08 degrees F in 125 years. Not really very much at all. Below is a link taking you to a NASA chart showing the temperature change from 1880 to 2005. See for yourself here: http://data.giss.nasa.gov/gistemp/2005/2005cal_fig1.gif
There are numerous charts all over the internet showing the same. The fact that people choose to ignore the facts of these charts shows that they have an agenda to convince the masses of something that really is not happening.
Most of you will not remember but back in the '70s but I remember all the hype was about global cooling and another ice age was coming. They blamed pollution for that too. They said that all the pollution was darkening the skies and not as much sun was coming through so the earth was cooling off. There are some that always want to stir things up and scare people and this is just another attempt to do just that. We needed waste our money trying to "solve" this one either. We have many other major problems. Here's the link about global cooling: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Global_cooling

It's pretty balmy in Seoul, chief. I was unaware that the iceshelves in Canada and Antarctica that are now glaciers had a political ideology.
There will always be outlyers, in an analysis, focusing on them and ignoring the trend is, at best intellectually lazy, at worst, intellectually dishonest.

Global warming isn't just about the earth getting warmer. It's about changing weather patterns around the world. Surely you can look around the world and see that the weather patterns are bizarre, no matter what the cause.

You are not seeing the forrest for the trees. Last year was the hottest year on record since 1854 in Texas. Only one month had a normal ammount of rainfall. We are already restricting lawn watering even more than last year.
Usually we average 32 inches a year where I live.
We have species going extinct due to weather trends.
Your sample is too small to justify your claim.

Anyone capable of independent thought is well aware that global warming is simply a myth and nothing more. It is simply another way the liberal leftist extremists are trying to control what others say and do. Just as with everything else the liberal anti-American communists say the facts are much different than what they say in their propaganda.
