what does a scale mean? if a car is given a 1/10 scale, what does that mean?
I want to buy my boyfriend one but know nothing about them.

1/10 scale means that it is 1/10th of a real size car. That size would be prstty big, probably one of the biggest model car you can get.

1:10 scale means the car is like 10 times smaller than the real car.

Better off with Nitro (petrol) cars, more speed, depending on guage size, easy replacements/parts etc. Only downfall are the batteries - for controls and/or battery controlled cars etc! The nitro fuel is reasonably priced but it does last a while though! More of an expensive outlay for the nitros but well worth the investment - IMHO! Best invest in a good battery charger and rechargable batteries. HTH

1/10 means that the model car is one tenth the sise of the real car. if u want to buy that runs n petrol i suggest googlin for it shouldnt be too hard to find
