s k - hhhmmmm still not convinced, not trying to get your hopes up, but TWO!!! It might be too early to show up in blood yet, I certianly wouldn't rule it out yet, hang on a couple of days/a week and try again. One positive test is rare but 2 is nearly impossible. I'll keep my fingers crossed for you and would love to know what happens. Good luck

I am pregnant with my fifth child and I had died my hair with 3 of my first pregnancies and nothing happened. With my first I didn't since I didn't dye it back then but, I am in my fifth month and I have died my hair twice since I have been pregnant and everything is fine. You just want to make sure that the bathroom is well ventilated because you don't want to breathe in the fumes. That is the concern of dying your hair while pregnant . It is a concern if your breathing it in too much. What I would do is turn on my exhaust fan since I don't have a window in my bathroom and I would get a scarf and tie it around my nose and mouth. I look silly but I am not breathing in the smell of the hair coloring. I have also seen pregnant women in the beauty salon getting highlights and touch ups done to their hair. If your still unsure wait til you go for your next check up and ask your Obgyn what is the suggestion on dying your hair. I also read in my baby book that I got from my Dr. and it said that there isn't any proven facts that dying your hair is bad for the baby.

People say eir on the side of cautioin, but I personnally dont think one or two color treatments while preg will hurt you or baby. Make sure your in a well ventalated area though... the chemicals breathed in will more likely cause harm than any absorbed through the skin. Ask doc if your still not sure. You could always call the hair color company with your Q, im sure they would be glad to help. Good luck!

Is it safe to dye my hair while pregnant?
There are conflicting reports about the safety of hair dye during pregnancy: Several studies found no ill effects on pregnant rodents given 100 times the typical human dose of these products, whereas British researchers reported chromosome damage among women who dyed their hair. Although this study was not conducted on pregnant women, this finding suggests that there may be some risk to coloring your hair while pregnant.
As a precaution, some physicians advise you to avoid hair color until after your first trimester (the period when your baby's vital organs, head, body and limbs form). Colorants made from vegetable dyes such as henna are preferable to the chemical dyes used in permanent and semi-permanent formulas. Recent studies indicate that hair dyes contain relatively high levels of bio-available lead acetate that can be harmful to the fetus, particularly the nervous system and brain. Check the product label and avoid lead based hair products.

It's fine! I dyed and highlighted my hair all throughout my pregnancy and my son is healthy and too damn smart for his own good. My ob said it was safe so long as it wasn't done in an enclosed space with little ventilation. Also, it can be absorbed by the skin but there is no proof it causes any damage to the baby.

My Dr told me last week it is okay to color your hair as long as you are in a well vented room.. I get highlites so I made sure I asked my Dr right away.. and I was 5-6 weeks at the time... It is the fumes you need to worry about not the chems going into your blood stream or anything like that...

I took 4 tests at home, 2 which came up positive and 2 came up negative. I went to the doc. and he took a blood test and it came up negative. I was really hoping i was. But im going to keep trying. It was weird that 2 were positive though.

I have not yet at 9 weeks, but like you, I am getting a few greys. I go back to the doctor soon, and will be asking.

I am 15 weeks pregnant and I just dyed my hair this weekend. My doctor told me that dying your hair in the second trimester is fine. I also know plenty of women who dyed their hair while pregnant and have perfectly healthy babies.

i did a straightening to my hair when i was 16 weeks pregnant and now i am 31 weeks pregnant but all seems fine.
as long as your hair is healthy and the smell of the colour wont effect you, you should go for it.
but if your hair is not healthy, you better leave it cause you might ruin your hair!
