In UK most property is purchased by individuals who obtain a Mortgage on the property in order to pay the seller.
The normal process is for the seller to employ an Estate Agent who will take a commission.
Estate Agents is a very competitive business so you can 'shop around' for the best 'Sole Agent' deal or even employ multiple Agents & only pay the one that makes the sale.
If you have a Property that can not be sold in this way - for example because no Mortage Company would give a loan on it - it is normnal to sell be Auction.
Use Google / Yell to find an approiprtaite Estate Agent / Auction House in the London area.
