Pi is an irrational number, so cannot be expressed as a fraction a/b where a and b are both integers.

3.14, 22/7 etc are just common approximations which serve a lot of maths, but for accurate working are not exact.

There is no fraction equal to pi, because pi is a transcendental number, what means that it is a real number, not a rational one. But there are good approximations like 355/113.
