It seems to me that the modern vampire is very similar to the vampire of lore. They suck blood, they display superhuman strength, they're immortal (unless you plant a stake in their hearts or cut their heads off). In my opinion the only thing that's changed is that they are significantly more sexual than they have been portrayed in the past. Even in early books and movies they were portrayed as sexual creatures, but it doesn't even compare to how they are show today.

Ooooh, I love vampires....
Modern Vampires are those who live with ordiary human, acting as if they're one of us. Some believe they make organizations, nd has this COOL and wasome looks. They're hot, cool, and likes wearing sexy or weird black coats, matching with cool sun glasses. They are also believe to be more powerful and more clever.
But most of all, in modern vampires...they also fall in love with ordinary humans, then they protect and respect them. They aren't the barbaric type. After all, they are classified as one of the most elegant kind of demon in the underworld~ ^_^

Modern vampires are people who are negative to you that sucks your energy. that is you are near them you feel loosing your strength and you want to have defend against them.like wearing crystal or wrapping your arms around you.
