there is nothing particualrly difficult in gettting a custome built PC.
anyt local shop shouldeb abel to do it.. heck anybody shouldbe able to do it.

The only tricky bit is if something goes wrong the bleep codes can be a bit hard to diagnose

In all honesty its not something thats difficult or comples if you can use a screwdriver and take suitable precautions to avoid static, and avoind handling printed crictuit cards, pins or tracks.

most of the work is 'just slotting' the components into the right bit on the board.. any spotty little teenager could do it.. heck thats probably who assembles most PC's outside the major players like DELL, HP etc...

I live in the North West so the companies I use reflect that

The cheapest way to get a custom built PC is to buy the parts yourself, and put them together yourself.

I use www.newegg.com and www.tigerdirect.com to get the best deals and service --- I also use ebay to pick up things cheap that are name brand and do not get too difficult (like mouse, keyboard, case.. etc things that are not too problem oriented) --- another place that just had the best deal on RAM was www.bestbuy.com -- I was surprised but very pleased.
