Check the carb, fuel pump or injectors ot may have dirt blocking it somewhere? has it recently been ran quite low?
As it did run low I would expect it to have a blockage somewhere, jus check everything to do with the fuel system and it will soon sort its self out!

Worst case scenario is you have snapped the cam belt !
take of the oil filler cap and get someone to turn the key while you look into where you would put the oil and see if the cam is turning if there is nothing moving in there then snapped belt ! expensive to fix !
chance are you may of just lost the code off your immobiliser key though in any case you need to have a mechanic come and check it out for you !

Have you checked if you’re getting a spark? Someone mentioned a broken cam belt, which is a possibility..... Get someone who knows about cars to have a look at it for you. You'll get all sorts of ideas here, both good and bad, but really without a look its almost impossible to assess properly.

You may have a perished fuel line.

Air could be getting in to the fuel. Try pumping the fuel through manually, using the bottle shaped diaphragm under your bonnet.
