Have you considered that you may be suffering from depression ? Its a common cause of lack of motivation.

You obviously don't like the situation too much or you wouldn't be concerned enough to post this question, try setting yourself a task list each day, or start a hobby that will earn you money as well as keep you busy.

I hope you find your worth, as I'm sure you are not worthless .. Peace

Quote: "People like you disgust me, at least you openly admit you are a workshy usless lump, that is perhaps your only redeeming feature, get off your fat lazy **** get out in the real world and try and find a job, thousands of migrant workers are managing it why cant you.... "

Yay for tolerance!! My advice:disregard opinions you know to be that of an ignorant schmuck's. Like, that guy's.

Anyway, you sign on because you're bored and have nothing to do. Try resisting signing on and you'll go do something else because you're bored. You might find this new activity to be alot less 'lazy' and in the 'real world'. After 'rejoining the real world' you can still spend some time being lazy, and it's more fun too.

Helpful? I think so! To you? Not so much. But I typed my thoughts on what I should do to be less lazy and I might as well press submit now,get 2 points. :-P

It sounds like you are painfully aware of your own free will and have also discovered a major flaw of the "Real World": the 9-5 work ethic. However, signing on is not the solution, as it means you have to answer to the Jobcentre and, most horribly of all, be berated and portrayed as a worthless lowly worm by The Taxpayer. My advice would be to get a part-time job to pay the rent and obtain the bare minimum, as this wouldn't actually be too far removed from the kind of living that you currently enjoy. No-one can touch you then and you will at least have some degree of freedom that can’t be taken away from you when it is revealed that you are not “actively seeking work” (i.e anytime, any place, anywhere).

If I didn't have responsibilities and a life I would probably get stuck in front of the computer all day as I also have a hard time pulling myself away from the screen once I'm on the net. Basically, my advice to you, you have to get a life (not meant in a nasty way) Don't allow yourself to go on so often, cut down on your surfing hours. Check the clock and only allow so much time, then stop. Last thing, have you got a foggy feeling in your head? GO OUT AND GET SOME FRESH AIR. It's very important - from one lazy person to another.

Nothing wrong with being lazy now and again. The people who live the longest are lazy, don't overwork themselves, do not stress, just have a easy no worry about what will happen tomorrow life. Wish i could be like that, i am often lazy and those who say they aren't , is just fibbing a teen little bit. Be lazy, niceeeee.

I'm the same with it being a struggle, but i'd love to join the real world. I have had problems with mental illness.

You're lazy because you've conditioned yourself to be that way. The more you continue to allow yourself to be lazy, the harder it will be to get out of your bad habit.

On the positive side, it works both ways. But it's much easier to fall back into the pattern of being lazy.

Good luck!
