As it consumer, it more or less boils down to quality of brands than the origin of where the object was fabricated especially when you're dealing with high ticket items.

Domestic brands where possible because service and maintenance is also local. Nothing worse than buying an overseas product with no after sales assistance. Also because the $$'s I'm spending will stay domestic.

I do tend to focus of products that were made in America, the reason is simple. I want the money I'm earning in America to go towards products that are made in America because that keeps jobs in America.

Basically I'm interested in helping the people who work in my country not some place I've never heard of. Also quite a few of those other little countries have very few to no labor laws and that's just not cool. I understand that those people need to make a living as well but I'm more concerned with my own countrymen.

of course domestic brands first, before foreign brands. thats because to help my economics and domestic laborer.
