My wife and I love "hole in the wall" not chain store kind of restaurants and would love to get some good referals for such in Orange County, California. Anyone have a favorite?

There is an awesome little place in Newport Beach off MacArthur and Bison called Marco Polo that make homemade pasta and sauces....they are incredible, reasonably priced, quaint, yet clean and styish. They even sell pasta and sauces to go so you can go home and prepare it yourself. Another of my favorites is Bella Napoli in Dana Point on PCH, just south of Golden Lantern. Not only are their past dishes great, but the panini sandwiches, fried calamari and cannoli's are great. Both places are very reasonably priced and wonderful both either family, guests or clients! Enjoy!!!

By far, hands down, Mangia Mangia in Huntington Beach. It's in a strip mall next to a Home Depot (?)...don't let the exterior drive you away. The food is excellent.
