The recent and tragic suicide of Bacharach`s daughter by Angie Dickinson has given rise to a re-hash of their marriage and the subsequent divorce.

In an account which I read in one of the London papers, Dickinson alleges that Bacharach was documented in the press as having been unfaithful during their marriage on several occasions.

I found this hard to believe, as when I interviewed him in the late sixties he was absolutely smitten to AD and could not stop raving about her.

That said, his folks were hard to take and as grandparents must have been awful. They were Waspy Jews with very Nazi prejudices. When I was a cub reporter I went on a press tour with them. When someone in Italy said that things were better off without the Jews, the Bacharachs and their friends agreed. I was shocked.

With grandparents like that.....

no one knows what goes on behind closed doors do they ? You should not judge anyone unless you are there or have been there. I dont judge celebs too harshly unless they did something really stupid . The loss of a child cannot be comparred to any thing it has to be one of the most horrible pains ,one can only imagine the hurt that has to be going on inside the mind of a parent who has a child that commits suicide . Unless you have been there please dont judge . That is god's business to judge.

The unfaithful swine! If I was a Jew,I'd never do that! You need to pull down Burts trousers and pants, and administer a sound thrashing to his buttocks! Then you need to rub it better with some stinging after shave(for the punishment aftershock).Or maybe I've spent too much time on the dole!

Don't know about his personal life, but loved his music; especially the songs sung by Dionne Warwick back in the day.
