Well this question basically discovers the strength and potentiality of a candidate. All educational and other qualification and experience would have been in the resume but interviewer would want the presentation, deliberation, word selection and most important thing is identify the moment when to be stop.

Stating the educational qualification in short if it is directly correlated with the post. Then the experience if is there any. Then ability of work, learning capacity in work and eagerness, willingness to work hard in under pressure these points would be make positive impression.

Because you have a problem that I can solve for you, I am responsible, work hard, show up on time, and are not sick very often, I do NOT drink, or take drugs, and I do as I'm told, I do not steal (i would'nt take a spec of dust if it was'nt mine), is that enough ?

When they ask for your salary from the previous job, remind them that what you make is very personal, and you would never ask anyone how much money they made last year, (NOW YA BANG EM WITH THE "CAPPER")
"WHAT ARE YOU OFFERING FOR THIS POSITION" ?

These are standard interview answers, they expect these answers from somebody who knows how to conduct an interview, YOU ARE NOT DOING ANYTHING WRONG !

If possible do some background research on the company and list any skills/qualities you have that are compatable so that when asked this question you will be able to tell them in all honesty what you have to offer, skills/qualities is also covered by what you have learnt from life. Never exagerate or spin them a story you will get found out eventually. Good Luck.

First of all, be very positive, and tell them what you can do to
be a good employee for them. That is basically what they want to hear, that you will be a loyal employee and work hard.
Secondly, dress well. So many people do not dress neatly, and business like for job interviews and it is critical for really finding a
good position. Good luck to you.

The question sounds hostile, but it is really an invitation to sell them on your experience and qualifications. Tell them how you helped saved your previous employer valuable time and money in handling projects that relate to the job you are applying for. If they seem unsure, throw the question back at them and ask them "what you are looking for in a candidate?"
