Most importantly is that your wife will be spending a lot more time with the baby than you will. Some men feel they are being ignored and some even get jealous. But it is only natural and please don't think that your wife thinks less of you or does not care about you anymore it is just natural that most of her attention will be focussed on little baby. You can help by getting involved, be with her when she baths the baby, feeds the baby and just generally lend her a hand when she gets home after giving birth. She will appreciate it. Dont expect her to have sex the minute you get home she will still be tender and sore. But most of all have a life with your wife before you have babies , spend a lot of time together and do things you always wanted to , you will be very tied up once you have a baby. Always remember to love and support your wife and once you have a baby be a good father. Loving, supportive and kind.
Good luck for the future and may everything smell of roses for you and your wifey.:))

There are plenty of books about baby care basics, Im sure the Midwife will have given your wife some, But there are 3 main rules you should ALWAYS follow.
1. Share the duties, Regardless of whether you are back at work full time, your wife has a full time job now too, its called being a mum.
2. Cherish every moment, You'll hear lots of people saying that the time will fly and before you know it the baby will be all grown up. ITS TRUE!. My son is 10 mnths old, and it feels like only yesterday that I gave birth.
3. Enjoy. You'll have ups. You'll have down. But there really is nothing in the world like looking into there eyes for the first time.

It helps to know a little about sex and how to conceive.
Then when she's pregnant, all the fun stops.
That's the time to get down the library and get some books out on pregnancy, birth and parenting.
