There's a man said he's a member of the US Congress. Who in the Congress should I contact to make sure?

He's from the Republican., and also said to have won The President Ronald Reagen Republic Gold Medal". I just want to make sure those are not a lie. I've tried to visit the Congress web, and senate.gov, but I got confused. He gave me his name cards, but all only show abrreviated surname. help.

An abbreviated surname is very suspect. I smell a rat, but then most polititiuans are rats. so what's the difference?
