Yes battery operated 2 wheelers are available in India since Feb 2006 they are manufactured by Indus in Ahmedabad, parent company is Electrotherm they are indigenously manufacturing these 2 wheelers by the name Yo bykes for more details log on to www.induselectrans.com.

ya baatery operated 2 wheelers are available but a problem is the pick up or speed after getting a top speed one have to rechage the battery again it good for teen agers for short distance travelling but in my views it will boom up in small cities

Kinetic has just launched recently (scooters and mopeds). Chinese made battery operated two wheelers have just launched (very recently) in few cities.

Yeah there is one Bike, Its called EGO and its a electrically operated bike where you have to charge your bike like you do to your Cellphone.And you can ride your vehicle until the charge is there. In this there's already a car in Indian roads. Its called REVA manufactured by a Bangalore based company.
