Some sites allow you to request service from a U.S. based call center. Don't know about AT&T.

Sometimes if you flatter an Indian, it works. Often it backfires because they then assume you are stupid and both hear and answer accordingly.

If you chew them out, they often just hang up. Very thin skinned.
Sometimes I call right back and hope the next answerer will be better. There are some who are helpful.

I try to avoid the problem by not using suppliers whose call centers are obviously in India.

it seems when i call at night around 7:00 my time and i stay on hold for along time and every hard question other than what is your account info seems to be put on hold so they can discuss it with there super the problem isn't in India it is when you ask how are you doing trying to be nice and all you get is okay seems to be best answer for all there ?s
