PLEASE answer if you know the answer!!!!!! My gfriend's period was due on the 31st Dec. we had unprotected sex on the 30th Dec and 31st Dec (thinking it was 100% safe!) but her period has yet to make its appearance?!?!?!?!??! I think its impossible that she's pregnant because she wasn't ovulating when we had unprotected sex, but I'm still a tiny bit worried cos her p is never late. Is is at all possible that she's preg? She has been training hard - running about 20km per week.

Hi there. You have gotten some decent answers and some very poor ones. I hate to think of you being all stressed out over some of the answers that you got.
The odds of your girlfriend being pregnant are slim to none. At that point in her cycle she is not fertile.
You say that her periods are very regular and that is even more reason to believe that she was not fertile.
You mention that she is running and training. Running is notorious for causing problems with a womans cycle and also for making her infertile. Strictly physiologically speaking, running does not seem to be "good" for women. A woman who was trying to get pregnant would be advised to stop. It causes problems with the uterus itself and with the menstrual cycle. Is your girlfriend extremely thin? That plays into the whole problem also. When you lose a certain amount of body fat you stop ovulating.
I think that you would both feel better if you did a test in three or four days if she has not started her period. After you have done that she should see a doctor to find out why she is not having her period, that is important. Once that is addressed she should find a form of birth control that will prevent incidents like this one. And you can use condoms and use them correctly, that will greatly decrease the odds of her getting pregnant.
Nothing is ever 100% safe. Remember that. Abstinance is the only things that is 100% safe. You need to make sure that you do not end up with a pregnancy to deal with and you and your girlfriend need to work on that together.
I don't think you have anything to worry about this time but you need to take steps to protect both of you in the future.
Take care and good luck.

First, there is no 100% safe time. Did you know that your girlfriend can get pregnant any time of the month? She can even conceive if she has intercourse while on her period. Although the chance is small, it is still possible.

Second, excessive training and exercise can affect a woman's menstrual cycle. If she is late, she should take a pregnancy test and go see a doctor. Good Luck!

Hi! Maybe all that hard physical stuff is doing something to her hormones; maybe having unprotected sex has actually resulted in an egg invasion by your sperm; maybe over xmas she gets stressed and it puts her cycle out of whack; maybe you should just get one of those over the counter jobs from the pharmacist and try a little test to see ..... either way I hope all is well and maybe if you are pregnant you should keep the 20kms down to a little bit less! Good luck!!

Bottom line, from someone who has been around awhile.
IF you are having sex, unprotected or protected ( condoms rip) Hell yeah she can be pregnant. Rythem is SOOOO unreliable as a birth control method.
Many things can result in a late period. Stress and training are 2.
See a physician and remember, any and ALL sex can result in a pregnancy.
My 19 yr old son climbed ALL OVER the Pill. God bless him.

I dont´t think its possible, since the egg are ready to be thrown out of the uterus that close to the period and therefore aren´t in position to "greet" your little ones on the right place.
Nothing though is impossible, so go take a pregnancy test if you really want to know the answer.

Don't think she's pregnant. Highly unlikely. That's the time when it's the safest. You usually start ovulating 5 days after the last day of your period. Running sometimes does that to women. Tell her to slow down and have a rest.

The only sure way of knowing is by taking a pregnancy test, or go to the doctor. There could be a number of reasons why her period is late.

hey, relax.
There's is so much factor that can delay period. Some cases that i've read, even delay their period when they have their first ejaculation in the womb. I guess maybe it is bcoz hormone changes or something like that. But, I suggest u to ask ur gf to go for a check up. At least u can know the result ASAP and can plan things up! ;-)
