I assume you mean the arc cut off on the other side from angles A, B, and C. Otherwise angle P and angle A are the same angle.

ABPC is a cyclic quadrilateral. So between them angles A and P cut off the entire circle. One angle on one side of BC and the other angle on the other side of BC.
