In my opinion, it's not normal. If you're at all capable of living together, then why get divorced in the first place? Divorce should be seen as a tragic last resort to be avoided until there are absolutely no other options (and hopefully you never get there,) not as a way to make a minor lifestyle change.
You're saying that not only can this man not be commited to stay with his wife, but he can't even be commited to LEAVE her? I don't know about you, but I certainly have no use for such a wishy-washy man.

I think there are multiple answers for this question. 1. He may not really be divorced....just telling you he is for whatever reason. 2. They could have gotten married for the wrong reasons and mutually decided it was a mistake yet are still good friends. 3. If there are children involved and they get along, why not. 4. One or both of them can't afford to live alone. Hard to know for sure without knowing more about the situation.

this is fine. My mothers bf lived with his ex for 5 years after they were divorced because she had a disability and he helped take care of her. He and my mom still go over to her house and help her out with cleaning a few times a month. It really depends on the situation though. Does he have a good job? Does he have a kid?

People can still be friends after divorce, however living together is a bit strange. Are you 100% sure that they are divorced and not swingers?

In a divorce you can not live with your ex spouse once the divorce is finalized or else it nulls and voids the decree.

my parents lived together after they were divorced.They did it for financial reasons,also for the kids(I was only 8).I also had a acquaintance who did the same,I think they re-married and had a kid!
