I have two children and am currently pregnant with my third. The first baby was conceived the very next month after coming off the oral pill. After I had my son I went on Depo-provera (Injection) for one an and a half years..decided I wanted to try for a baby so never went back after the three months to get it again...the following month...I was pregnant!! I think the only answer to this question is that everyone has different fertility and what could take women a few months to get pregnant could take the next woman a few years? All I can say is that immediate pregnancies do happen after coming off these contraceptions. I was told it'd take approx 1 year after finishing the oral pill and up to two and a half years after coming off the injection...but obviously i didnt conform to the norm!! Goodluck!!

the only thing i can think of is now that u r off of the depo shot u r on the pill well if u r trying to conceive i would stop taking the pill and it may take about 10 months to a year in order to conceive u have to give ur body time for the birth controll to get out of ur system so that way u can ovulate and have regular periods and everything like that well good luck

I've been on birth control pills for nearly 18 years now and stopped taking them June last year when I got married as we're keen to start a family too! I've had 2 periods in 7 months and I'm currently on day 76 of this cycle. My doctor says it can take anywhere from 1-12 months for the BC pills to get out of your system. I suggest chart your basal body temperature to see when you ovulating to try and conceive.

Hiya,
you are supposed to give your body three months after coming off the pill etc before you start trying for a baby. It gives it chance to get out of your system and it is recommended you have 3 normal periods.
Hope this helps!
