I think dumb luck and personality go alot farther twards sucess than hard work and being practical.

you may have heard that, practice makes perfect. so first of all we should consider what do you call success and then we should have enough information and experience to get what we want

You need to have a VISION first. FOCUS on your vision and then work on it with PERSISTENCE and RESIST against the things which are obstacles in your way in achieving your desired targets. Only then real success can be achieved.
